School may be out for the day, but we’re not. Please join us for a fun-filled day with sports, arts and crafts, snacks, lunch, movies and more. Every camp is guided by our recreation staff who are trained to encourage participation, good sportsmanship and most of all, FUN. This is the type of day camp that your kids will not want to miss.

Each week, teams will practice for 15 minutes followed by a game. This league provide a fun environment for kids to learn basketball fundamentals, teamwork, social skills and sportsmanship. The registration fee includes a reversible jersey.

Each league needs volunteer coaches. To accommodate player and friend requests, we’ll place friends together if parents are willing to co-coach.

Enjoy a well-deserved night out while your children, ages 5-12, get a fun-filled evening with their peers at our next Parents’ Night Out. While you go out to dinner or take advantage of an empty house, your children will be doing crafts, playing games, making friends, and enjoying a pizza party in the care of our trained staff.

Have you always dreamed of driving the Zamboni? The RecPlex Zamboni Driving Experience is a crash course in all things Zamboni, which includes an opportunity to take one for a spin on the ice. This one-hour class is designed for adults with a valid driver’s license to learn fun facts about the Zamboni, how to operate and drive a Zamboni, and tour the facility. Space is limited, so book your Zamboni driving experience quickly for your change to drive our Zamboni and lean to we create and maintain the ice at the RecPlex.

Players will drop in as duo but compete separately for the most eliminations. Each week will consist of two rounds of games, with a best 2-out-of 3 format. The league will consist of five weeks of regular season play and an end of season double elimination tournament on the last week. All Fortnite games will be played on our PC computers. Players can bring their own Xbox or PS5 controllers, otherwise the RecPlex does have Xbox controllers’ participants can use. Headsets are also provided for each participant.

Welcome, gamers, to the RecPlex’s Healthy Esports Camp! Join us for this week-long day camp and learn to play age-appropriate games while still having a focus on physical activity. Each day will consist of 2 hours of game-play, one hour of sports activity, and 30 minutes of video on-demand review to learn more about the game of the day and how to improve! Games include, but are not limited to: Fortnite, Rocket League, Super Smash Bros, Valorant, Switch Sports and more!

Get away from the cold this winter and send your children to the RecPlex for our RP Kids Winter Break Day Camp. There will be plenty of fun activities to keep your children warm and active. Each day will consist of different sports activities, arts and crafts, snacks, lunch and so much more. This camp will provide children with the opportunity to experience many different sports, and they just might walk away with a newfound passion.

Proudly powered by Veridian Credit Union, this program is geared towards recreational skaters of all ages and skill levels. Instructors will follow the skill progressions outlined in Learn To Skate USA Basic Skills. Each session will be 30 minutes of instruction with 30 minutes of free skate. Each session will be broken into groups once registration closes that indicated lesson time. Our program ratio consists of a 12:1 student/instructor ratio to ensure quality instruction except for the Snow Plow Sam which is set at an 8:1 ratio. Skates are included!

Join us at the MidAmerican Energy RecPlex for the Eras Skate! Enjoy an evening of ice skating to the music from Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour. Feel free to dress up in your favorite concert outfit and bring along your friendship bracelets! We will also have a friendship bracelet-making station during the event. If you’re planning to just watch and not skate, there’s no need to register. Everyone is welcome, regardless of age!

The Boys and Girls Holiday Camp, lead by Grand View University’s Men’s Head Coach, Denis Schaefer, focuses on fundamental basketball skills, including ball handling, passing and shooting. The 6-hour camp features various games (5-on-5, 4-on-4 and 3-on-3) to reinforce these skills.

Our amateur Super Smash Bros Ultimate Tournament is the perfect way to work on that wave dash, make new friends in the local Smash community, and compete. Prizes are awarded to the top two players. Played in a double elimination format.

Dodge, dip, duck and dive. Each week we will play different styles of dodgeball games and learn some tips for the game. The RecPlex Youth Dodgeball program provides the ideal environment to have fun while learning the importance of teamwork, socialization and sportsmanship. the registration fee includes a t-shirt.
